Biography
Mission statement

Synopsis
Toin Adams is a sculptor and digital artist from The Vumba, Zimbabwe, now based in Portugal. She is the founder of Imaginary Beings, known for monumental public figures cast, welded and hauled into squares, as well as large-scale pencil drawings touched with gold leaf and watercolour. Her work moves between physical sculpture and digital process, shaped by southern African roots and a European studio practice.
Founder. Builds figures at the scale of buildings — cast, welded and hauled into public squares. For the rest, large scale pencil drawings with gold leaf and water colour. Blessed to be doing this.
“The works must be conceived with fire in the soul but executed with clinical coolness.”
— Joan Miró
